The 49th's combat history (fluff)

Here's some general fluff I wrote for my corp, enjoy!
The Combine 49th Canadian Corp
Although the Corp did not actively include any Ogres they did occasionally work alongside them despite the general’s distrust of all cybertanks.
Stationed in northern Africa and participating in several major battles there. They then moved to Europe during the Combines major offensive there. They later took part in the final Assault on occupied Briton. During this the 49th worked together with a MKIII Ogre nicknamed “Raptor” as the AI on board was known for quick surprise assaults. The Ogre took severe damage while dueling with a paneuropean MKIII but triumphed and wrecked the enemy monster. During the initial assault the Combine forces lost a whole tank company to the same MKIII as well as a flight of GEVs but with the assistance of timely reinforcements quickly overwhelmed the occupying paneuropean forces and succeeded in capturing a key bridge in usable condition. Although the overall offensive was a failure the 49th successfully achieved their objective pushing north almost to wales and capturing Birmingham before being withdrawn with the rest of the strike force. After this the Corp was transferred to panama to work in tandem with forces there in the offensive into the jungles of South America. In South America the Corp was drawn into the long slogging campaign which defined the war in that region, slowly pushing their way south and east across the continent.

After this they were sent back to Europe and helped in the assault on and conquest of Europe making their way as far east as Moscow.
