This scenario represents the Combine attack on a Paneuropean Cybertank Factory in Northern Europe. I came up with the scenario and played it with my gaming group a few years back and was actually my second Ogre scenario I ever made. I never posted it because I had drawn a physical map and I lost it somewhere. It was a massive game and we had a lot of fun so I re-created the map from some pictures I took of the game and made some modifications to the scenario that will hopefully help to balance it a little. These included reducing the overall number of units to more manageable levels (if you want to try to play the original just double all standard armor units), shifting around some of the objectives, assigning victory points for destroyed howitzers as well as disabled Ogres and finally to allow the Combine players to set up further forward. I’ll be posting the new map and modified scenario next as it’s almost ready but for now here are some of the pictures showing the scenario!
1: Aerial view of the beginning of the assault
2: The Combine forces advance forward quickly to the
river spearheaded by GEV’s, Ogres and Superheavy’s
3: The Paneuropean Defense Force scrambles to form a
defensive line
4: Combine GEV’s of the 12th Canadian Air
Cavalry Company Swarm towards Command Post Beta being met by the hopelessly
outmatched Paneuropean 42nd Polish Archaic Armor Company
5: Combine Ogres of the 57th United States
Heavy Armor Company advance together towards the Paneuropean defense line
including elements of the 53rd German Heavy Panzer Company.
6: Command post Alpha’s defense battery begins to range the Combine
units
7: In the north east the 71st Canadian Mechanized
Infantry Company attempts to storm the river and meets heavy resistance from
the Paneuropean 24th Russian Light Armored Company
8: Ogres on both sides take heavy damage and losses
are heavy
Conclusion: Unfortunately I stopped taking pictures at this point
but the Paneuropean dam and command post Beta fell to the Combine along with
their associated cities, however Combine forces were completely repelled in the
North East and failed to advance far after the dam, the game ended with a Marginal
Paneuropean Victory.
